Local Weather

Shetland has long been known for having a climate like none other. Do not be surprised if you see four seasons in one day. There are jokes about how it is the only place in the world where it rains sideways. It does however manage to have some lovely days throughout all this.

Another good site to look at for local weather information is the Northern Isles weather page. This is based in Fair Isle and provides a good summary of the weather outlook complete with satellite imagery.
